This is a nice piece from the Guardian recently on British political blogs - worth keeping an eye on for my revised blogging paper.

By the way - sorry for the intermittent postings over the Christmas period. I'm also going to Ireland tomorrow for a few days, so will be out of blog-commission ("I accuse you of committing a blog...."), and when I get back, it's likely I'll be starting a US campaign blog for the paper, so I'll have to see how that might work alongside everything else I have going on at the moment...!

In any case - here's wishing you health, happiness, prosperity and safety in the new year.

Check out Jeremy Botter's blog from Iraq. Absolutely riveting account of the capture of Saddam. Worth way more than any pundit's opinions from inside the beltway. Nice job.

Catching up a little on the subject of electronic voting technologies, here's an interesting piece from Wired about the Diebold Systems company, and what's happening in California.
